IN CONCLUSION,
Urban agriculture benefits our nation in great ways. It can encourage better eating habits by literally bringing the produce closer to our homes directly from the soil. It can bring serenity and mental stability, while also working our hands and minds. It can give us a sense of efficacy and accomplishment that makes us proud to be citizens of our communities. When we are proud of our community, we are more inclined to buy local. Urban agriculture allows us to support our local economies and keep money circulating within it. It allows us to save money by growing the produce we want to eat. Last but not least, urban agriculture allows us to connect with our neighbors. In the soil, we find common ground. We work together, we laugh together. Having a sense of community keeps humans close together. Without each other, life would be grey, bland and monotonous. With each other, life is exciting. Life is colorful. Life is beautiful.
